New York’s Most Indulgent Chocolate Desserts

And we’re not talking about heart-shaped boxes of corn syrupy candy from pharmacies, but instead, cocoa-focused confections from the city’s best restaurants and bakeries, from Mah-Ze-Dahr‘s pitch perfect Brownies and Dominique Ansel’s awe-inspiring Chocolate “Mooses,” to the over-the-top, highly Instagrammed milkshakes from Black Tap Burgers and Beer.

In a city blessed with dense, Eastern European babka, Breads — helmed by Danish-Israeli baker, Uri Scheft — might just make one of the very best. It doesn’t hurt that the sweet, laminated yeast bread is liberally riddled with chocolate; spread with a mixture of velvet hazelnut Nutella, and Belgian dark chocolate chips.
