Eat Out for Breast Cancer Awareness this October
There’s always a good reason to indulge in New York — last September, proceeds from sweets around the city went to fund Meals on Wheels, and this October, diners are encouraged to eat out for Breast Cancer awareness. For the rest of the month, participating restaurants will donate a portion of profits from selected cocktails and dishes, to various charities involved in fighting breast cancer, so here’s where to gorge for a great cause — from American Cut in Tribeca to Greenpoint Fish & Lobster in Brooklyn!
American Cut: Marc Forgione’s popular Tribeca steakhouse will donate 10% of proceeds from his Garden Daiquiri — made with bell pepper, caraway, lemon, arugula, Brugal Especial Blanco and Maldon sea salt — to the Susan G. Komen Foundation. If that’s not enough of a pull, the juicy, beautifully charred steaks are well worth the trip to Tribeca.

Greenpoint Fish & Lobster: While you’ll want to return for the fab Fish Tacos, awesome Lobster Rolls and Fried Full Belly Clams, order a serving (or two) of Arctic Char Crudo — fresh market fish thinly sliced and served raw and dressed with extra virgin olive oil, citrus, Maldon sea salt and microgreens — this month, in order to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Komen Foundation, as well as profits from their Raspberry and Aperol Floats. Sounds like a great way to cap off a sporting event or concert.
