With fall in full swing, there are bound to be days when you crave a cold, malty beer, and there’s nothing quite like a great pumpkin ale to get you through the season.  Brewed with pumpkin mash and often flavored with pumpkin pie spice, pumpkin ales are sweet and spicy with roasted pumpkin notes.  The so-called “pioneers” of craft beers at Heartland Brewery offer a range of these seasonal beers on tap.  Try the Imperial Pumpkin Ale, nicely balanced with subtle hints of honey roasted pumpkin and hints of nutmeg, ginger, allspice, and cloves.  It’s a unique tap to share with some friends over an order of Brew House Onion Rings, and a great way to start the night with a seasonal treat.
