What to Expect: We’d venture to Williamsburg for the homemade sourdough and multi-grain breads alone, but that’s just a glimpse at what this funky spot has to offer. This is Brooklyn’s version of dinner theater with an open kitchen, exposed beams, wood plank flooring, and wood stacks to feed the brick oven. The menu is eccentric bound to no country or style, so expect the unexpected, like a fried sardine skeleton, and definitely order the oysters on a rice vinegar ice flavored with garlic, ginger and chile. There’s caramel chicken wings, a petal soft beef tartare with sunchoke and flax seeds, and a killer cod crowned with heirloom radish.
