Close your eyes and taste the Riveria soup and you’ll think you’re in the south of France. Chef Alain Allegretti has a way of whisking you to his native country with his Provencal rich fish soup, mussels crostini and silky smooth veal tartare. The dining room is stylishly outfitted with deep blue booths, dark wood tables and black and white marble floors. It’s the perfect setting to sip a French rose and classically prepared French fare. Our favorites include the seaweed-crusted scallops ingeniously paired with prosciutto chips and octopus resting on a bed of farro, artichokes and fava beans.
Don’t Miss Dish: whipped ricotta, riviera soup, octopus a la plancha, black tagliolini with shrimp and sea urchin; seaweed crusted scallops.
End With: Vanilla pot de creme; zucchini pound cake
Drink This: Gerard Bertrand’s Languedoc rosé; Lavender lemonade
Price: $$$
Occasion: Date night, chic group dinner, Riviera cravings
Bonus: There’s a boozy brunch on weekends with almond-crusted French toast and pecorino quiche.
