North End Grill

There’s a lot to love about Danny Meyer’s newest venture, a modern American bar and grill in Battery Park.  From the killer scotch selection to the raw bar and floor-to-ceiling windows looking out onto the surrounding neighborhood, North End Grill is one of best new arrivals to the culinary scene. Still not convinced? How about bacon and oysters, clam pizza, grilled octopus, or sea scallops. What’s more, Chef Floyd Cardoz took his love for cooking eggs to a whole other level, dedicating an entire section of the menu to egg dishes, like coddled eggs with peekytoe crab or a lobster omelet. There’s a terrific pork bacon and fried oyster appetizer, beautifully charred clam pizza, pork chop and grilled octopus. What’s more, Chef Floyd Cardoz took his love for cooking eggs to a whole new level, dedicating an entire section of the menu to his egg creations, like a coddled egg with crab and decadent lobster omelet .
Don’t Miss Dish: Clam pizza; Halibut with pine nuts, green raisins, & clams, Nova Scotia Lobster omelette, and the grilled pork bacon and fried oysters.
End With: Butterscotch pot de creme,  lemon meringue pie.
Drink This: If you’re a scotch drinker, it doesn’t get much better than the list here.
