The Smith’s Cheddar Tomato Soup

The Smith is better known for its bar scene with solid cocktails and tasty bar snacks, like Potato Chips with Blue Cheese Fondue, than it is for its soup.  But they do know comfort food and they have a great Chicken Pot Pie.  Still, our favorite find at this eatery is the Roasted Tomato Soup.  They don’t do anything traditionally here, so it’s not quite what you’re thinking.  Think French Onion Soup by way of tomato.  The soup itself is thick, tangy and reminiscent of a sauce with melted cheddar on top — a little like a grilled cheese melted on top of your tomato soup.  Does it get any better than that? We think not.
